Finally got my AR almost all together. (just need to decide which upper i want to keep, 20" govt, or 16" middy). Question is i have been on the hunt for some 30mm rings to use with my millett DMS. Does anyone know where a good store to check would be? I was thinking of hitting up Gun Shack in mt airy since they are local but any other suggestions?

I would pass on 30mm scopes are a pain to find, I bough 30mm rings for my CZ 527 because they were $7 bucks but the scope cost me twice as much as 1".

Unless you definately have to have a scope that is in 30mm pass.

I don't know of any local places to get the 30mm rings, but it seems like a few of the guys around have bought Burris Tacticals around here someplace.

Regarding the 30mm scopes, the only real advantage is the extra adjustment range, which isn't normally needed unless we shoot extended ranges. They aren't any brighter, since relative brightness is merely a function of magnification vs objective diameter vs average eye pupil.

Well the scope is actually a 1-4x24mm, but it has a 30mm tube. (Millett DMS). So thats why i am after 30mm rings.

If you don't find these locally (Basspro?), you can get Burris Extreme rings from USArmorment.Com. Rory is located in NJ near Philly and I usually get shipments from him within a day or two.

Yea i finally found some at bass pro. Could have used mediums (they didn't have, just highs and one low), but with my gg&g riser, the lows i got are fine. (good cheek weld) Just wish my 16" middy didn't have a F marked front sight, puts the front post just a bit high. Its perfect alignment with my 20" with regular front post. So the 16" maybe up for sale. So if anyone is looking for 30mm rings, Bass Pro shop has em. :)
