I stopped a Dicks in GB yesterday. They are out of the 525 packs. They said they have Viper 22 ammo in stock but I have no interest in hyper velocity 22 lr ammo. That why I have a 22 magnum.
The 525 packs were back in stock at dicks GB this morning.

Today I saw cci mini-mags at the Frederick Walmart for the first time in almost 3 years, so I dutifully bought my three 100 packs.

Now I can take my M&P 15-22 out to play again.

LOL and that fun will last about 20 minutes. That is why I hate using my 15-22. Can't stop. :) No issues with the CCI? The instructions stated certain types are not recommended, yet YouTube has a guy with his grandkid that was shooting all types without fail.

CCI H/V, Federal Automatch, and Winchester H/V shoot great in my 15-22. It DOES NOT like Remington or most bulk ammo but then none of my other .22's like Remington very much either.

I have shot a lot of golden bullets and luckily, no issues. Thanks to all. Good news, indeed.

No issues with the CCI? The instructions stated certain types are not recommended,

The S&W Performance Center model should not use CCI Stinger ammunition.

BBased on the design and action of the M&P15-22, Smith &
Wesson recommends that you use the following brands and
types of .22LR ammunition for optimal performance in your
    M&P15-22 rifle:
CCI Standard Velocity • Federal American Eagle
    CCI Mini-Mag • Federal GameShock
    • Aguila Super Extra Std. Velocity • Winchester Super-X High Velocity
    • Aguila Super Extra High Velocity

Smith & Wesson suggests that you fire several boxes of a recommended
brand of ammunition through your M&P15-22 before you
put it into regular use to determine reliability of ignition and performance
of your ammunition. If “failure to fire” or other issues
should occur, try different recommended brands and types until a
    reliable load is found.

Through our testing, Smith & Wesson has also found that there
are several brands and types of .22LR ammunition that do not
perform consistently or reliably. Consequently, Smith & Wesson
DOES NOT RECOMMEND that the following brands or types of
.22LR ammunition be used in your M&P15-22 rifle:
    • Remington Golden Bullet • Remington Thunderbolt
    • Remington Target 22 • Winchester Wildcat
    • Any and all sub-sonic brands and types

WARNING: NEVER USE CCI® .22 LONG RIFLE
STINGER® BRAND AMMUNITION IN YOUR M&P15-22
    PERFORMANCE CENTER MODEL RIFLE.
THE M&P15-22 PERFORMANCE CENTER MODEL RIFLE IS
EQUIPPED WITH A .22 LONG RIFLE LANEY SEMI-AUTO
MATCH CHAMBER WHICH DOES NOT ACCOMMODATE CCI®
.22 LONG RIFLE STINGER® BRAND AMMUNITION.
FAILURE TO USE THE CORRECT TYPE OR CALIBER OF
AMMUNITION MAY CAUSE THE FIREARM TO JAM, FAIL TO
FIRE OR EVEN GENERATE EXCESSIVE PRESSURE WHICH
CAN DAMAGE OR EVEN RUPTURE YOUR FIREARM, CAUSING
PERSONAL INJURY, DEATH OR PROPERTY DAMAGE

CCI® Stinger® brand ammunition can be used in M&P 15-22
Standard Model Rifles (which do not have “Performance Center”
below the ejection port as shown in Figure 1a).
