MSP seems to be cruising through process now. Probably because the surge has passed and has leveled off to a more manageable number of incoming applications.

On average, 45 days from “accepted” to “approved”. Then 3-10 days from “approved” to card in mailbox.

Can someone tell me how the nics process works. I believe it's when they finish your national background check, I see the number on my application. Does that mean you are cleared and finish with the background check ✔

It means 1 of 4 or 5 background checks MSPLD does is finished. NICS is the FBI clearing house INSTANT background check
