Just a reminder that this coming Thursday thru Saturday(May 12-14) is the East Coast Military Vehicle Rally. I went last year at the new location at the Hagerstown Ariport and the whole family really enjoyed it. Being at the airport museum was really cool. The kids loved walking through all of the planes . Last year was smaller than past years, presumably due to the virus scare, but its still had alot of nice military surplus for sale. Here is the website for any more info and the address.

Excellent. I'll check it out again this weekend. Nice bike ride for sure if it's not raining. Thanks for the heads up.

I think I'm heading out there Friday. Last year my 5 and 3 year old both wore helmet liners and carried around toy M1 garands. Put smiles on a lot of folks faces. We absolutely love driving around out that way too. Then again my family likes anything that takes us away from Baltimore county!

Sounds pretty cool. We'll probably head-up to H'town on Saturday and take an umbrella just in case.

We had a great time at the AAF Tank Museum in Danville, VA last year. Took us about 4 hours to drive it from Frederick but, totally worth it. Biggest collection of tanks and armored vehicles I've ever seen under one roof.

It was a very scenic drive. I can only imagine how much better it would be on a bike.

Contemplating bringing my 5yo out to this. Anyone know if this is more of a “climb in old jeeps” or “stand behind the velvet rope” kind of show? He loved the Tank Farm open house when we last went, being able to sit inside the vehicles was the high point.

    Thanks,
    -Stephen

    It's primarily a swap meet

Some folks bring vehicles and are generally really good about folks look at them and most will let you get inside

I ended up going yesterday with the whole family. Pretty good turn out. The kids(5, 3, & 1) loved it! My oldest loves some of the old Andrew Sisters songs and insisted she dress up in a uniform for the show.

To answer a previous question, the vehicles are not behind ropes. You can walk up to them. Just be respectful and don’t let your kids jump all over them or pick up props unless the owner invites them too. Most the people there are really cool and love seeing the kids get involved.
