It's time for you to be quiet for a while. You are nothing more than a persistently negative force here who quite obviously has no intent to contribute anything of value.
    :lol2:

Although, sometimes he makes his point ...

I'm sure I am out of line and know this is a private forum but in the spirit of 1a, I find it rather ironic that in a pro 2a forum people are banned simply for expressing views that the inner circle might find disagreeable.

That's not it and you know it.

I had heard rumors of dozens of "bad" bills to be filed. So where are they? Bad rumors, or do we expect more at the last minute?

My question would be to ask the source of the rumors.

No disparagement to anyone, but we often hear a lot of pessimistic (and even paranoid) predictions that don't come to pass.

The good news? Our folk will be ready for it.

Something we need to keep in mind...

The opposition tried one more shot back in 2014(?), with a number of bills they threw out to test whether our fight was still there. We consistently shot them down, even getting a couple of the bills' sponsors to walk away (Conaway, Jr., in particular). It was a test, and we passed.

Last year, there was virtually nothing to fight, and our side made some gains.

IMO, barring some freak incident, we're on the upswing, and anything that gets proposed can't be serious.

    A big oversimplification IMO.

It wasn't just a differing opinion, it was trolling and being a rabble-rouser and contributing zero to the forum. And it was done over, and over and over ........

That's why I for the most part stay out of these sections. My overall contempt for Maryland is too great.

Now for anyone who believes the 7 days is a "cooling off period", we can remind them that it either took nearly 30 days to get the HQL or it isn't their only handgun.

    Common sense gun law, no?

I disagree. when the 7 day wait was adopted the "cooling off" period was it's intent. Over the years the legislature has twisted it for their own definition.

I also have an issue with the "Universal recognition carry" bills. They are NOT universal if they are limited to the surrounding states. Maybe our legislators need to look in the dictionary for definitions. Yes it's a step in the right direction.

All true, but surrounding states are a good start.

Another point. Anti-gunners just got rolled in VA. They overreached and the backlash was swift and severe.

They are in dire need of a victory to keep those donations flowing. Plus it is silly season between Bernie and Clinton, tripping over each other to be more socialist.

Maryland is the base, so they may come home looking to double down on stupid.
