It's insane the laws regarding barrel length. It cost me $200 to cut off a Vortex and screw on a A2 Flash suppressor.

But I now own as close of a M4 clone as I'll ever own.

Still needs a rail system (DD Omega) then I think I'll be done.

You either HATED that original FH or were bored out of your mind looking for a project.....

I just have an addiction to SBR's.

Plus if there is another AW Ban that bans transfer, title II guns won't be affected, and they will increase in value. (Atleast that's my hope)

Interesting theory about Title II FA...I hadn't considered that.....

I might just have to get a few.....

How in the hell was that a $200 job?!

I paid the federal tax stamp to make it a Short Barreled Rifle.

The previous flash suppressor was permentaly attached. It was blind pined. I cut it off with the dremel cleaned up the threads with a thread file and screwed on the A2 flash hider.

I still need to get some peal washers, I have the flash suppressor on with a crush washer. I want to buy a Gem Tech Halo soon to use on this one as well as my 20" AR.

This makes #6 for SBR's. while I hope it doens't happen, I fear some sort of AW Ban after the election, if not before with O'Mouthy in office (depending on Heller). But these should stay transferable in all NFA friendly states.

If I'm wrong, I'm not out all that much in the long run. If I am right, it may be very profitable in the years to come.

I'm aiming for 10 SBR's, maybe more depending on legislation.

Even if "assault rifles" are banned in MD, you technically should still be able to built an SBR after the ban. You can do this with assault pistols now. Example-You can buy a MAC-10 rifle, pay the feds 200 and turn it into a SBR to look like an assault pistol.

You would have to buy the firearm out of state and then transfer it in as a title II fire arm to be legal.
