Hopefully These can hold a small candle to all the fine previous entries
    top to bottom:
    Kimber Custom II .45
    Colt 1991A1 (Japanese Contract 9mm)
    Colt WWII repop(Neat Story)
    Colt Gold Cup NM

    IMG_0032.jpg

    My repop:
Came from Colt with a run in the parkerizing in the slide, called custom shop and returned the slide to be stripped and re-coated..

Slide came back, had a fingerprint ETCHED into the face of the slide (evidently from when
someone touched it after it was stripped)

after some extreme complaints again to the custom shop manager to the quality of their work and service the entire gun was returned, a NEW slide was parked to match and hand fitted in the custom shop...a one hole factory target included now

    It's a promag 40 round drum.

It's a jam-o-matic until I get to the last 7 rounds! :lol2: Imagine that! I'd steer clear from them.

On a side note, I also have one for the 10/22 and it's a lot better.

The company says they have to be broken in for them to work properly. I've only tried them once. Who knows?

I've got the 25 round promag drums, they work like a dream, the 15 round stick mags are great too

    Les Baer Range report

I picked up the pistol last Saturday at Gun Runners and had a chance to stop by Cresap for a gun break in. The gun came in a brown cardboard box along with three 8rds magazines, pistol lock, plastic barrel washer wrench, and a cool looking Les Baer patch. A certificate came with it and was signed by those who worked on the pistol, I thought it was neat.
The quality of work this pistol exhibit is just awesome. It came with the removable rail and a Starlite TLI light. Everything is smooth to the touch, no sharp edges. Except the checkering of the front strap and mainspring housing is a bit sharp, but not harsh to the feel. The grip feel just as good. The barrel bushing is very tight, making the wrench necessary to disassemble the gun. The initial slide break was very tight for me(I mean TIGHT, it won,t budge at first, I thought it was broken). This gun is so tight, you would think it will fail to shoot or cycle using different kinds of mags and ammo ( I used Act, LB, Wilson, CM magazines and ran WWB, Walmart Federal, Speer 200grn +P, Blazer aluminium, Remington UMC, PMC 45ACP ammo). The gun showed no magazine or ammunition sensitivity at all. I did not encounter any problem here. Trigger breaks at around 4lbs, no creep at all. Muzzle flip is minimal for my small frame. Hopefully it will loosen after so many rounds. My favorite ammo so far is the Blazer Aluminium case, very clean and accurate. This ammo does not give you that light ash color on the muzzle after a range time. I also like the Speer 200grn +P, it pushes the gun back toward you instead of a mild muzzle flip on some ammo.
Offhand the pistol is easy to point and shoot, I really did not pay attention to accuracy, I was more interested in functionality, which I was very, very satisfied. No hiccups at all granting I used different mags and ammo(about 300rds) – As for accuracy, it is more than good enough for those aging eyes of mine. Hits on those red bullseye at 10 yrds are no sweat and I can place those shots with in the black all the time and some bullseye at 25 yrds. I like the front and rear Trijicon night sights, they are fast. They glow in the dark too,way cool.

So far I have not feel any difference regarding fun factor between shooting my RIA and the Les Baer. Is the extra money difference is worth it?? Eh, time will tell I guess.
