I finally found an excellent walnut stocked Swedish m/96. I've seen plenty of beech-stocked rifles but I'm a big fan of walnut on surplus rifles. This is the only foreign rifle in my collection.

Numbers matching throughout and the stock is in great condition. My only gripe is the threaded muzzle but I guess it survived in service long enough to warrant the BFA modification. The front sight has been replaced to bring the zero down to something more appropriate for 100-200yd.

What, your only foreign rifle? We gotta fix that! You certainly did pick a great model and example for your first. Difficult to upgrade.
