    Hey Guys,

This is going on the chopping block. I'm throwing it up for sale to fund a new purchase. But before I do I figured I'd throw it up here with some pictures.

    Very early 1903 RIA 1909.

    Has numerous USMC characteristics.

Serialized B2 bolt, sanded stock, greenish Parkerizing, darkened rear sight leaf and hatcher hole.

Doesn't have vice marks or a stippled buttplate (but it has a fine checkered)

I was told it might be a USMC Nicaraguan campaign rifle. But not sure.

Anyways, since I'm not a millionaire sometimes sacrifices must be made. Just thought I'd share on the forum before sending her to her next "tour of duty!" Wanted to make sure she got some appreciation before parting with her.

I dunno about you guys selling off some of these guns is like selling one of your kids!

If that had a "C" stock I would be strongly inclined to go against my principle of not adding other calibers to have to buy. :innocent0

Looks good though. Someone'll snatch 'er up inna hurry.

I feel as if one of these needs to be in my collection. I can't have the Russians out numbering the Americans.
    Beautiful rifle.

I've actually only seen 2 USMC rifles in prewar C stocks they're incredibly rare. I have one and I know someone who had one but sold it before Inmet him :(

Usually see straight stocks or finger GG stocks.

"The thing is, Bob, it's not that I'm lazy, it's that I just don't care."

I love that movie. So much true there...

That's nice, had my fathers recently acquired A3 out today and what a great shooter and comfortable rifle to handle. I can see how some troops preferred it to the Garand.

    You should keep it.
