Is there an aftermarket 10/22 receiver with the safety on top (Think Mossberg 500) ?
I hate the crossbolt safety for squirrel hunting,,

    Where they send me.
If going the route of buying a new receiver (paperwork hassle and likely $$ as it is "special") it may be better go to a different platform all together which gets you what you want.

Sorry, I don't think that exists. Only one which comes to mind with that style of safety may be a Ruger bolt action but they are hard to find, and don't meet any of your asks aside from the box mag.

Hope I'm wrong and someone comes along with a good option for ya.

The Savage 64 F might be a reasonable alternative. Not a Mossberg type safety, but more of a bolt action type safety. I'm with you, I hate slide-by trigger guard safeties.
