wow I didn't realize how bad the picture quality is on these. I will definitely take better ones when I get home. Sorry for the double post.

The price of .22 ammo has gone through the roof, if you can find some. This past weekend a vendor at the Ft. Pierce Florida gun show was asking $150 for a brick of 500!

I'm a sucker for 22lr conversion kits so I when I saw this used Kimber 1911 22lr Conversion Kit at 2A Sales I had to pick it up. It may have been used but I don't think it was fired much, if at all. The price was AMAZING so I jumped on it. I've taken it to the range twice so far and its been great. I fed it CCI Mini Mags & Velocitors as well as Federal Bulk. It ran perfectly with all three. It's definitely a keeper!

Since the barrel is so thick in order to be the same size as a 45acp barrel its basically a bull barrel. Accuracy has been great and I know of a lot of guys using the Kimber kits in steel challege and bullseye competitions. The longest distance I've shot mine at so far is only 10yds. Basically I just wanted to give it a good test with different ammo types to see if it was ammo sensitive, which its not. But next time I'll push the range out and see what it can really do and report back.

My ZK-22 in-process build. Need to install the QD cups and Primary Arms MD-06 micro red dot, but I've been waiting forever for this stock to arrive.

Need to get my NFA trust to pick up a suppressor next. Man I wish this was select-fire...

Nice! How is it? Been thinking of getting 22 just to convert it to one of these. If I can ever get my hands on the stock. Details please????

It's definitely cool, but there's been too much drama around getting the damned thing. I actually have a spare that came in from another vendor as I was losing patience that I want to do in FDE.

I thought about Cerakoting it, but the quote from an IP here was too rich for me. I may try my hand at it or go the poor-man's-DIY and Krylon it.

Here's another pic in a UTG Alpha Battle Carrier Sling Pack with my Tavor. It's a little snug but they both fit (there's a protective divider I removed for the picture).

Lol yeah, I've following on that other forum as well. I've seen all the drama and complaints in the "delivery confirmation" thread. It's either that (like I said if i can ever find one) or the HTA 90/22, they look about ready to ship. I've also seen a guy on here who did a tavor conversion on a 10/22. Looks awesome. Either one of the 3 would be cool with me, just want a BP 10/22 :) But that fluted bull barrel on yours makes it look even better.

A buddy of mine just started his own business doing coatings and he's here in Maryland (Frederick area). You might want to check his stuff out: https://www.facebook.com/TacticalCoatingsByChris

I have no idea where his prices fall. Hopefully on the lower end.

Almost done... Just need an ambi safety because I am "wrong handed", and maybe a flash hider, the current config is starting to grow on me and I am ok with its look overall. And yes, that WAS a 10 round magazine.

Found the European cousin to my laminated carbine last night.

Local auction house doing a living estate firearms sale. Had the mannlicher stock and another laminated carbine that was rebarreled and had a overmolded stock along with a bunch of very nice sporterized WWII rifles. The prior owner was on hand, 96 years old WWII vet and I got to talk to him about the guns. He said my Mann shot better than the other carbine so he rebarreled it and that one of the Mausers was his personal war return that was unfired when he got it.

I ended up bidding the gun to $300 with the 4-12 Bushnell scope and won it, ended up being @ 360 to get it home with the buyers premium, Xfer and taxes added in.

Planning on taking it to the farm later this evening and seeing how it shoots.
