Thought I would ask here, anyone know of places that do classes nearby? My wife and I need to take the 8 hour course to get our permits.

I might be able to help you. It can be a problem here. I tried to find a class for someone who works at the Sheriff's dept and there was no reply to the e mail. I have a VA appointment in Pittsburgh next week. PM me. I assume they will be ok with pistol training. I got my permit with my instructor ratings.

If that was in response to me, I usually stick from 1-12. Any more and I would need to bring in multiple instructors.
