Hmm, I don't like how you have to have a death grip on it. I'm used to holding my bow as loosely as possible.
People been bowfishing with sling bows for a good while.

Better, concealed carry sling crossbow, haha. There might be a law against carrying a crossbow with a bolt in it though.

You want to make it more challenging? Get in your loin cloth and get an Atlatl and get the DNR to make it legal.

If you've never seen or tried a Lever Bow, you should. The bracing system is ingenious: it also limits your draw so you always have a repeatable anchor point, which produces real consistency in your accuracy. Looky here:
