    The Strong Mount is for those who did not build their reloading bench high enough. :)

    I would still go 550 or 650. That way you can use standard dies you already have to load on them. Long view versus short view.

    And who knows what you will be doing/loading in 5, 10, or 20 years.

    Well, after all of this, the guy on Craigslist came through and I ended up with a barely used 550 with a bunch of extras. It came with three caliber conversions, .38 Special, .44 Special, and .45 ACP, 1500 small pistol primers, some W231, brass, bullets, and an orange brass trimmer. Anyone need a set of .44 Special dies?

    Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!

    Keep this in mind.......

    Mike Dillon's presses come with a "Lifetime no B.S. Warranty".

    If it breaks, they'll fix it.
    You have a problem with any part of their equipment...... give 'em a call and they'll jump through hoops to get the issue resolved.

    :thumbsup::thumbsup:

    I've had my RL550B for almost 30 years. I'll never part with it.

    Heck, I may even be buried with mine. (You never know what you're gonna need on the other side! I hear there's a helluva range in Heaven!)

    Now I see why it went so quick. $50 for the conversion kit, another $65 for the dies, and $26 for the tool head. I just sold a guy $140 worth of stuff for $50. Now I need 9mm stuff and I have to drop $140? Sheesh!

    Somebody got a heck of a deal.

    Toolheads will always come in handy.
    Conversion kits - you MAY be able to use the shellplate or locating pins for another caliber, some day.

    When I got my RL550B, I got several conversion kits with it.
    The IHMSA 7mm Int'l cartridge is a necked down .308.
    A new powder funnel, and I've got .308 taken care of.
