Plan D? Not worth the hassle.
We start naming ranges. We start demanding police protection. We stop playing good victums..

They can hire private security just like other high risk areas like casinos.. . Or they can demand better policing..

I already avoid ranges like these so they should know its costing them business.

Now we go public ---straw purchase my ass. We are being set up...by the state.. time to call it what it is. .

FreeState is at the end of a road and there's only one way out of the development.

Makes a good ambush site. ;)

    But they have cameras.. ;)

All kidding aside if they see you leave from that end...there is only one place you can be conning from.. you can be followed when they intercept you on the main road and you may never know

Back when there was talk of antis following folks to get them chargee with transporting ( yes I know its a grey area but Antis are nuts) I started doing crazy Ivan turns.. go the wrong way and double back...

FreeState is much better and will not tolerate loitering..... but as I said intercept is still possible.... of course its getting more built up now...so that may change..

It is easy to see if you're being followed, however. Also, 43 to 95 is a good quick escape. If folks are willing to ambush you there, they'd do it anywhere.

While better than some others, Freestate is definitely not immune. I've noticed an increase in less than classy people there. To the staff's credit they do a good job of keeping it orderly inside. Early this year though I did witness a domestic disturbance in the parking lot. It was a young black couple screaming their heads off at each other; almost got physical.

Anything is possible, but it is difficult from here. Loiterers are not tolerated and would be really obvious in our lot. We have never observed any and our smokers routinely patrol the lot.

I went to Continental the other day and they now have signs on the front doors that say you shouldn't leave anything valuable in your car due to a lot of auto breakins lately.

Agree you have good security. The ambush thing was a joke :-). and its obvious if followed from your lot..

Only way is to intercept later on.. and thats not likely...

Unlike that range in Severn where people can watch you from other businesses' parking lots.

OP, what progress do the investigators have to report on your case? Broad daylight, LEO witness, called in immediately. At least something to work with. Any leads?

Yeah I mean CSI should probably already have the prints back and this puppy pretty much wrapped up.

Just like TV...I mean I saw it on TV.

Nah, they do it in an hour -- minus commercial breaks.

What if the gun is used in a crime? The media and Dems will blame the owner, not the perp.

I haven't heard anything from them since last Wednesday. As of then they were just reviewing the cameras at the store and at MSAR but nothing solid like a tag number.

Terp 2005, hope this has a positive outcome for you, thanks for sharing. Although I am far from the Republic of Md now down in SW Fl. your experience has struck a nerve with me. As transient as folks are down here in the winter you never know who may be around you at the local ranges here that I shoot at.
