How much ammo do you carry for your CCW?

Is there such a thing as carrying too much? After reading this story http://modernselfprotection.com/2013/05/31/how-much-ammo-to-carry/ it sounds like you need to carry a lot. But then you read articles like this http://www.gundigest.com/concealed-carry-news/reloaded-carry-ammo-good-idea that say carrying reloaded ammo can be considered bloodlust by prosecutors. Could the amount you carry also fall into bloodlust?

Depending on which CCW I take, at least one spare mag.

Depends on what I'm wearing and what I'm carrying. Wintertime I usally carry my HK45 with two mags (31 rounds) or my glock 17 with two mags (52 rounds). Summertime with nothing but a t shirt, glock 26 with 1 extra mag in pocket(21 rounds)or my p64 with two spares in pocket (19 rounds). Ill sometimes mix these up with other pistols but I'm most confident with these and have developed good muscle memory with them.

Enough to fill the magazine +1 in the chamber, or enough to fill the cylinder depending on what I'm carrying.

I carry a Glock 19 almost daily, so 15 + 1 in the chamber. I've thought about carrying a spare mag but for some reason, I haven't done it yet.

Thanks for the input so far. Armadillofz1 nice M1A. I have fire extinguishers if only the antis saw it that was. They try to twist everything into their sick cause.

I've heard the bloodlust argument used when an EDC was modified to make it more "Killy". Trigger jobs, etc.

It can be argued that the spare is for malfunctions.

after you use your ccw in self defense and they find you are carrying more ammo than the pistol can hold, it'll be spun that you are looking to go on a killing spree,especially in marylandistan where the mere mention of the word gun brings out crisis counselors,moms demand action and all kinds of anti gun nuts.

I carry an m&p9c, so 12 rounds. I've thought about carrying a spare magazine for malfunctions and for additional peace of mind, but haven't done it.

I'm mainly concerned with the additional crap on my hip. I don't wear cargo pants or cargo shorts, and my pants arent baggy, so a spare mag would stand out in my pocket. I need to look into good carriers.
