My latest rimfire build. Im going to put a small red dot on this in the near future. this is a CMMG upper and lower with a 4.5" threaded barrel and a Sparrow. I cant wait to shoot this one. I built this after a member on this board let me shoot his at the range. I liked it so much that I built one as well!

Thank you! I cant wait to go shoot it. This is based on two member builds that I have seen or shot. After shooting one, I had to build one!

Let us know how it shoots

I just picked up my sparrow. Im on the fence between the 4.5" and the 9.2" from cmmg. Unless they have something in the middle as far as length?

I love my Sparrow! I use it on several hosts. Ill do a write up on the build and range test once I get to shoot it.

Bought this from an FFL friend of mine ... he says he put 200 rounds thru it, but it looks like it was just test fired at the factory yesterday ... pretty sure I don't need this many mags, but it was part of the deal

Edit: found out this is the "Bullseye Target" version ... overtravel stop, light trigger, adjustable sear. A Buckmark isn't your everyday .22, and this isn't your everyday Buckmark

Edit: got out my scale and confirmed the trigger pull at 36oz ... sweet!

Nice score, I'm semi jealous of all the spare mags :D My bullseye edition buckmark is back on pg 29

Never thought I'd end up posting HERE!

    ;)

I recently discovered that there is an Archangel stock kit for the Rem 597.

The point was less to go Tacticool, and more for adjustability for the wife and the grandkids at some point.

The rest??? Wife says I'm strange.

(FTR... Do not use the stock front sight screw for the front accessory. If you have a Weaver screw it works much better)

I took it to the range! It ran well. Its a little bit louder than I expected (bolt slap). I only had five failures in the first 500 rounds. that figure does not include that it holds the bolt back with the last round still in the mag. The failures were odd. the hammer would not catch and would follow the bolt. It picked up the next round, but did not fire. I think that this may have been a break-in issue. The very first shot failed to eject and it jammed in the charging handle.
at 25 yards or so the gun was accurate enough to hit foam golf balls on the run. this thing ate every type of ammo, but it seemed to like subsonic rounds the best. it was a blast to do ammo dumps. this build makes it far too much fun to waste ammo.

This is my 50th anniversary 10/22 takedown with Brimstone stage 3 trigger job, TAC Sol SB-X barrel, rimfire technology trigger, bolt handle and mag release extension and a Silencer Co Sparrows.
