Ten shootings were reported Thursday across Baltimore, continuing a spate of gun violence that began after riots overtook West Baltimore on April 27. At least three of the victims died.

About 40 people have been shot since April 28, the day after Baltimore's most intense day of rioting.

Police said 82 people have been killed this year, 20 more than at the same time last year. Nonfatal shootings also have surged 47 percent, to 134 this year from 91 last year at this time.

Glad to see SB281 has had the intended effect on gun crime in B'more. Murders & non-fatal shootings are way up from last year & summer has yet to come.

Notice how quiet our AG has been during these trying times.

    Where's the riots?

If they shoot each other that is ok, but if an officer shoots a thug while they are committing a crime that's wrong?

I suspect that some of Baltimore's dazzling urbanites might be taking advantage of the situation to settle old scores, reasoning that it will be harder for the police to devote resources to solving the shootings, not to mention get any cooperation from witnesses or families involved.

But hey, these lives only matter when they're being taken by "outsiders". When it's fratricide, no need to get upset about it.
