I ran across this job posting.

While I'm a 'might old' to apply myself, quite possibly there are younger members here in MDS who would be interested in an Army Guard career where you could learn a valuable trade.

Aside from a re-class to 91G (Fire Control Systems Repairer), I spent all 10 years of my service as a 91F. It's a good gig if you can land a spot within the Federal Technician program the Guard has. I was a WG-09 stepped out for about 6 years in MD and have been a Fed Tech as a SAR in DC for 2 years now.

I highly reccommend it as an MOS. You learn a little from the school, but the field experience and learning from more experienced people is a nice segway into gunsmithing (learning the basics at 91F school dealing with repair, inspection, use of precision measuring tools, etc.). Plus you're the go-to guy for any ranges which translates to you getting to fire the guns first :D.
