"hypothetical" Found a 1911 in my grandfathers stuff....
This is a "hypothetical" story
So say I was given a trunk of my gran-pas old stuff like 15 years ago after he died. It was in storage and I never went through it. What if I just went through this trunk and found some really cool stuff like a Springfield M6 Scout (really low serial number) and a 1911 (with a 1915 - 1918 serial number).
As per this: Colt: S/N 108,601 to 290,000 = Feb. 8, 1915 to May, 1918
What would I have to do to make these guns legal in MD's eyes? Though I think the M6 is the 18" version.
