FLC can be had for cheap. They can be configured however you like with MOLLE pouches. If you don't like the colors, there is always RIT dye or Krylo-flage.

Might as well start solid. One size fits most FOX Tactical Plate Carrier w/Steel contour plates it can attach different carriers. It comes in black and other colors. and if plates arent necessary for when "things go bad" then just remove them.
