Thanks for the heads up. Sadly I already picked up 6 boxes of 22LR and 4rds of 17HMR. I got tired of not being able to go to the range due to a lack of ammo.
Not this weekend but the following I will be there with my son and brother in law to do some shooting. I now have a well stocked supply of ammo so I should be there most Sundays. I will have to upgrade what my son shoots by the fall however. He's already asking for something bigger then a 22LR.
Not this weekend but the following weekend I will be out there again. Had to find ammo which wasted a weekend and I have to work this weekend. Going to be taking my son and brother in law along with me.
When I checked it in CA they were the ones who put the firearm sticker/label on the outside of the case not me. Needless to say that was the last time I ever did that.
This reminds me of when the idiots at BWI put my shotgun out on the line with the rest of the luggage. I went to claim it at their little office where firearms are supposed to go to but they said they didn't have it. Despite doing all the required paperwork, them putting those firearm stickers...
I've had more fun taking my son to the range to shoot his 22LR Cricket and my 17HMR Savage then I used to with much larger guns. It also means not having a sore shoulder the next day or paying way too much to target shoot.
Sadly I didn't have enough time on Friday to drive to Frederick or anywhere else to go looking for ammo so I ended up having to pass on going to Cresap this weekend. I am going to just buy a bunch in bulk I guess the next chance I get to avoid this in the future.
I had only heard about...
Went to the local Walmart here in Mount Airy to pick up some ammo for this weekend. Had to find somebody to go behind the counter to look for it since they don't keep it on a shelf anymore (but they do shotgun shells). Sure enough they were out of both 17 HMR and the 22LR ammo in any version. OK...
Anybody have any experience with these? A coworker bought one a year ago and only shot it one time at a range before getting married to his very anti-gun wife. Are these good guns for the range and possibly a bit more? I know they are relatively cheap but that means I'd have the money for a...
I'm just down the road from you in Mt Airy but I'll be at Cresap this Saturday with my son for some rifle shooting. Maybe I'll run into you there. I'll be the one teaching his son to shoot the 17HMR Savage while I wish I had the cash to buy another rifle for myself.
Well I'm sure there will be enough to go around. I'm not buying until June at the gun show in Frederick anyways. Then again if I get the cash for a Saiga by then..........
That would be in June then. Too bad I wanted to get one next month but what the hell its only an extra month. Anything I should be aware of when buying one? Are scope mounts easy to find for one? My son has been asking all week if he can start using my 17 HMR which leaves me without a range gun.
You guys are still more willing to spend big money on the hobby then I am. Maybe after a year or so I will start looking for upgrades to what I already have.
