Man shoots teens who pushed him off bike.

Here's a nice long thread on the incident on Pafoa; http://forum.pafoa.org/concealed-open-carry-121/161184-interesting-story-bicyclist-attacked-shoots-attackers.html

Man shoots teens who pushed him off bike.

The 3 "kids" had robbed 2 others within an hour of this crime. The 16 year old whi got killed was on probation, and wearing an ankle bracelet which was put on him a few hours previously. He was told to go to school at that time by the police. Instead he and his friends decided to go rob some...

      223 brass question

See the link below, scroll down to the .223 H20 capacity chart. Note that the 2 cases with the highest water capacity are LC 06, & WCC99, Military Cases. That's a volume measure. Also note that there isn't an extreme difference in the volumes between case types...

      223 brass question

Not true for 5.56/.223 military brass. Weigh some, it's right in the same range as commercial. Now for 7.62/.308 it's VERY true.

      223 brass question

Consistency is the key to accurate ammo. If you only use 1 headstamp, it will be more consistant than mixed. If you have all of your brass from 1 lot of a certain headstamp that's better yet. Weigh sorting will also help, as that is an indicator of case volume. Whether you actually see...

Cast SWC Boolits in .45 acp - Need Some Input

Try going a bit shorter on your oal. there should be very little shoulder on a SWC. Also what mags are you using? The feed lips need to be made for SWC bullets. Mags designed for "ball" may or may not work. SWC mags allow the round to enter the chamber at the proper angle. Don't mess with...

      "BATTLE OF THE BULGE SHOOT"

Just remember, it'll most likely be COLD (hence Battle of the Bulge), minimal lube, and you may want to strip your bolt and clean out the firing pin channel. We had 2 guys with "brand new" Mausers last year, the cosmolene in their bolts froze, and they had to drop out.....

Thinking about my first F/A - Stemple 76/45

I've got a 76/45, I love it. Of course if you look at my username, you'll understand why I don't go for 9mm. It's a great gun for what it is...FA only, kind of heavy, fairly fast rate of fire. If you reload for .45 you're good to go. I say go for it!!

      BATTLE OF THE BULGE SHOOT

I'm Cross Posting this because maybe some of the C&R folks don't check out the competitions forum. If this isn't OK just delete it. We'd love to see some "more exotic" WWII rifles show up. http://www.mdshooters.com/showthread.php?t=71992 Pete A. TRPC Membership Sec/Board of Dir.

Anyone Look for a German G41?

The father of a coworker has one. He bought it for $300 about 15 years ago, all matching, but someone welded a sling loop on the front barrel band, and screwed a swivel into the bottom of the stock. It shoots pretty good. I tried to use it in our clubs "Battle of the Bulge" shoot Jan 3 years...

Getting into reloading - .45 ACP and .223 - Advice?

As far as powder for the .223, what weight bullets do you plan on using? If you are loading lighter bullets, 55, or 62 Gr, then Ramshot Tac, should work well in the Lee measure. For .223 you can't run full progressive, you'll have to deprime/resize, then pull them off of the press, to trim...

      Reloading for AR15 Match HBAR

Just a few notes on your order of operations, You should Trim after resizing, otherwise your case length will vary. Also some flash hole deburing tools locate off of the case mouth, so that should be done after resizing, and trimming.
