From the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, CCW is bad M'kay

Gack. Lots of comments in this thread, some reasonable, some not. It's not reasonable to dismiss the research because we don't like the outcomes. It has to be based on other evidence and reasonable discussion. Some comments drill down into the stats and numbers, and to me at least, that...

      Gun rights are women's rights

I agree that the left isn't being consistent here. If Pavilch had said that explicitly, that would have been one thing. But once a speaker says it should be a non-partisan issue, I think that they should either avoid calling out one side or the other, or call them out equally. I also agree...

      Gun rights are women's rights

Thanks! I showed this video to my wife, and she was turned off by the "it's a non-partisan issue" stance, contrasted with the "liberal" and "progressive" callouts. I agree, it would have been more effective to leave those words out and just talk about it as a women's rights issue.

      Gun rights are women's rights

I think that's been suggested before but the mods aren't interested. There are a few women on the board, but I can see how the "boy's club" atmosphere might make it tough.

Fixing Ruger BX-25 with feeding issues

Wow, thanks! I've had this exact problem. I have found that a thorough cleaning works too, but this method looks like it is much less time consuming.

      Agree. Totally fun to shoot.

      .22 LR Ammo

Thunderbolts? If they paid me .04/round I guess I could take some off their hands. No more than a brick though.

      .22 LR Ammo

Thanks for this. I'd seen the "match grade" but I was unsure of it's quality.

      .22 LR Ammo

$6 for a box of 50 = $.12/round. My 10/22 loves the stuff and at 50 yards it is much more accurate than, for example, mini-mags.

      They aren't necessarily mutually exclusive.

How often do you verify a gun you are handling is empty

Heck, I use 'safety' as an excuse to feed my OCD. I check every time I pick one up and every time I hand one to someone else.

"Bill would pay gun owners to hand over assault weapons"

From The Hil. Very poorly written article about a proposed buyback program for assault weapons, or assault rifles, or something or other. Best sentence: "Though DeLauro is in favor of stronger guns laws that would completely ban assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition, she emphasized this...

Columbia. The name of the store was Shooter's Choice. Great gun selection and really nice staff too.

      .22 LR Ammo

I was in South Carolina recently and in the first gun store I entered the shelves were packed full of CCI: Minimags, stingers, Troy Landry, subsonic, you name it! Minimags were $7.98/100, no limit, and other prices were similar. I have to admit I got a little misty eyed when someone there said...
