HB1302-"The Neighborhood Bag Lady Can Take Your Guns" bill

I'll try. But, I'm not a well versed writer, and often struggle to put word to thoughts. There are many a law abiding resident of the city of Baltimore. And some of them probably legally own firearms, for whatever reason they wish. How hard would it be to have an individual create a false...

HB1302-"The Neighborhood Bag Lady Can Take Your Guns" bill

That is why, like my original question that I asked here this morning, I focused on the negative impact to minorities. Not a feckless one of these folk either understand, nor support the Constitution. And when you explain it from a Constitutional perspective, their eyes glaze over, and they...

HB1302-"The Neighborhood Bag Lady Can Take Your Guns" bill

I don't often comment, mostly because y'all have a far better grasp of the issues than I do. But, can someone tell me why the state of Maryland wants to pass a law that at least on the surface makes it easier to set up, and deprive innocent minorities, mostly males of their right to legally...

Is that the Poster known as Star, on the Gunboards forum? I thought I had read where he recently has stopped selling parts.

Someone to make a Star B firing pin?

Thanks. I was looking there, but also figured giving local businesses a shot. And when you click on ordering, they say that they are closed till around the 21st. I'll keep an eye on it though.

Someone to make a Star B firing pin?

Even with never dry firing it, one of mine has finally suffered the well known failed firing pin. I am able to remove and provide functional samples from my other two Model Bs. I'm in the Towson area, but willing to travel a reasonable distance. And if someone is really comfortable with...

      Perfecta ammo

Ran over 150 rds of 9mm through a Star Model B, notorious for being a finicky eater. Had one issue with a FTF with my most worn mag. Our teenage son was shooting excellent groups with it as well. I plan to buy more when it's available again.

      P64 Worth Getting?

I picked up one of the ones that Classic is currently advertising, with the small import mark underneath. Out of the four P-64s which have followed me home so far, its easily the best looking one that I have. It looks literally brand new. And shoots as well as any of the others.

      Star B questions

Hard to say. Prior to this I would almost always have a live round under the empty case, with the empty case about half way out of the chamber. So to me, and I don't have a whole lot of experience in this, that would be the extractor letting go early. In this single failure today, live round...

      Star B questions

Second Follow up report on CZ-75 extractor springs in a Model B. The other two guns, each with a similar reliability history performed almost flawlessly. Two guns, 150 rds of PMC 115 gr FMJ, 8 rds per magazine (Carry the remainder), intermixed magazine with no effort to pair magazines with...

      Star B questions

As-is. Dimensionally, the diameter is almost a perfect match, but the length is visually so far off that you would expect to have to shorten the new spring. But, as recommended by the originator of the idea, I changed nothing. When it worked well with the snap-caps, I was pretty sure that...

      Star B questions

Follow up on using the CZ spring in a Star Model B. This particular Star has a history of extract issues, and has never been able to perform reliably with more then 5 rounds in the magazine, no matter which of the many magazines I use. Even with five rounds, I can usually count on two out of...

      Star B questions

Can't help on the pin, but a friend recommended Gunsprings CZ-75 extractor springs as a replacement. I just received three, and have replaced the one in one of my Star Bs yesterday. Slightly longer, but diameter is perfect. Manually cycled several snapCaps, and the extractor seemed to...

Scroll down to I believe page 20, and it lists the bullet weight for a "B" as 125 gr. http://www.star-firearms.com/firearms/manuals/downloads/a,b,m,p,s_manual.pdf

      Star B questions

Ordered three Extractors (Part #66) from them. All were the wrong size, as the distance from the pin hole to the edge was too short. Nothing could be done to fit them. Sent them photos of the original part along side the replacement for comparison. They refunded the purchase price with no problem.

      Star B questions

So far, I have been able to get three of the Model B's in the house, past my wife. After almost losing extractor pin on two of them, from them walking out of the hole during firing, I put a dab of blue thread lock on each of the pins. Still easy to remove for maintenance, but they remain in...

      Just Got It NOW!

Glad to help. As I had posted earlier, I consider myself as one of the least experienced C&R holders here. And I tend to assume that if I know something, everyone else already knows it. ........ I did to the spring change out on my first three P-64s, noticed some degree of improvement, but...
