Fingerprinted/Applied August 1st, HQL went active August 5th, and received my HQL card August 9th. I was training exempt
Now I need to decide between a SIG P227 or a 1911!
I have a BM XM15-e2s and a Colt M4. The BM was my first M4 and I've put 3000 rds through it with no malfunctions ( Shooting steel and standard 556/223).
I love the Colt, its my primary rifle, but I'd have no problems taking out the BM to shoot a couple hundred rounds at all.
Released my M4, Glock 30, and XDS after 14 days over the last few months. havent ever had problems with the Rockville or SS store.
I asked them about a AK this past weekend and they said they would release to me in 8 days.
Been following this thread.. glad to hear you got your gun! I transferred an AR a few months ago and it also conveniently "showed up late" to my FFL.
I poked and prodded FEDEX. Got a cop friend of mine who showed up at the FEDEX offices and had a conversation with the manager . Two days later...
Sounds great! I've been driving to MSAR to shoot my AR's for the a long time because I cant stand Gilberts!
My only reservation ....25 yards ??? Looking forward to seeing a new range :)
Biased towards Glocks... 15 years ,10,000 + rounds and my G26 from 1998 still performs like it did the day I picked it from Sports Authority in G'Burg. Never ever ever had one FTF/ FTE using any and all types of ammo. Glock 30 I just picked up so far has also been flawless.
I wouldnt recommend going to Gilberts, terrible range in terms of price and customer service. MSAR is a great range, 20 bucks a day, BYOA, rentals are like 7 bucks and there's no range nazis hanging over your shoulder. Havent had any issues with other shooters ( at least on the rifle lanes)
The FFLs I have dealt with releasing early make you sign a waiver and of course have consulted with their own lawyers before releasing.
Get your gun, it's well within the current law.
I used FEDEX and it was shipped to Springfield Armory which is an FFL. I asked a MD FFL prior to sending it and they said sending it wouldnt be a problem. Sending it out of state to a non-FFL is a different story.
You dont even need to tell the post office what it is. Just box and tape it up, put the shipping label on it, insure it for whatever value, and take it to FEDEX or whatever yourself.
I shipped my XDS to SA a few weeks ago and it came back without issues.
Just picked up a Glock 30. For a sub .45ACP its recoil is surprisingly manageable and at 10 yards my friend and I were consistently hitting the red target spot I stuck on the target.
200 rounds and when we were done my wrist and hands weren't aching from the recoil. Very little muzzle flip for...
I wouldnt recommend using a boresnake, pain in the butt, and as everyone else stated, if it breaks in the barrel you're in for a long afternoon.
I usually just spray ballistol down the barrel and push a guide rod through with cotton .22 patches then spray ballistol down the barrel again and...
LOL I picked up my AR 3 weeks ago from Atlantic and just today I got this from MSP for my 3/28/13. Almost 4 months if they didnt release to me early...
