Been a while since I have really participated here, although I have spent plenty of time browsing. Sorry about that.
Anyway, just under a year since we moved to MD, and now we turned around and bought a home in Charles Town, WV. Nice place, way more space and amenities for a bit over 200k...
Hey guys, my wife is looking for a Beretta M9 so she can practice her Army qual test whenever she wants. Any chance you guys have one or can source one for her? Thanks.
Defending the Second Amendment in Maryland
Dear Defenders of Liberty:
Today is Crossover day! At close of session today HB 294 is dead. However, SB 281 is still alive, having already crossed over to the House Judiciary Committee.
We must not falter at the finish line. We know the vote...
I am trying to decide which of these stocks is a better choice. I have seen great reviews on both. I personally want something that is comfortable and durable. I also researched the Mako recoil-reducing stock and decided against it (the problems with the cheek riser not allowing the charging...
Second Amendment Update - Feb. 21, 2013
We have been doing our best to defeat the Governor's gun grab. The Senate hearing on SB281 was on Feb. 6, and so far I
have heard nothing about any action on it. The train has definitely slowed down -- they must be having a hard time
getting their...
Any recommendations for an EDC in D.C.? I will be working in a federal building but just the few times I have walked around the area, I do not feel safe not having something. ANy experienced hands know what flies for carry there? I am going to assume my Benchmade Balisong won't do... lol. Thanks.
Does anyone know if there is an MWR firing range at Ft Meade, or any of the other posts/bases in the area? I have heard rumors of this mythical beast, but cannot find anything on their MWR website. Any help is much appreciated.
First time over there, I stopped in with my little girl and put a deposit on a lower. The guys were great, fast service, and one of them introduced Daisy the chocolate lab to my girl. Other gentleman helping me was very nice and didn't mind answering questions about building an AR. Great...

He points out that in the hundreds of shootings since he was mayor, only one was committed with a legally obtained weapon.
I have a bit under 500 friends on Facebook. This includes friends, members of my Army units, gaming friends whom have become personal friends, and family. I think that getting information and appeals to the folks in our lives is the most effective way to get folks involved. This is what I wrote...
I tried the search to see if this was a dupe, so sorry if my "search-fu" is weak. Link to an article about California schools buying AR-15s for student protection:

I am very familiar with the iron sights on the Army M16 A2. I used (briefly) a red dot sight (better than those on the cheap models, but not top) and loved it. What are the best sights/dot sights/ scopes that will approximate this sight affinity, do you think? Thanks!
to get some info and maybe pick up a Ruger Mini 14. Long story short, I needed some more docs before I could buy. SHE walks out with a Bushmaster HBAR from Windham. Grrrrrrr.....
Requisite sock and rifle photo below. She is one happy lady.
P.S. Those are my socks, at least.
Just got back from 2A, went and asked a LOT of questions. Despite the long line, the guys were pleasant and professional, very knowledgeable. My wife picked up a Bushmaster HBAR and some rounds. Will be frequenting these guys again, for sure.
Which is the most solid build, do you think? I have read reviews on both, but am unsure which is the better value. Windham has more equipment attached, and a solid platform. DD V7 is (from reviews) an even better platform, but more stripped down. (Or do I just try for a RRA of similar config?)...
I have introduced myself in a couple other posts, but wanted to do so "offically." I found this link for the free training for regulated firearms, is this correct? I am trying to get set up so when I get to MD next month, I have as much as possible accomplished so I can go to Engage and bug the...
