      Any recommendations for an EDC in D.C.? I will be working in a federal building but just the few times I have walked around the area, I do not feel safe not having something.       Used to M16 sights

      I am very familiar with the iron sights on the Army M16 A2. I used (briefly) a red dot sight (better than those on the cheap models, but not top) and loved it. What are the best sights/dot sights/ scopes that will approximate this sight affinity, do you think? Thanks!

      So I went into 2A with my wife...

      to get some info and maybe pick up a Ruger Mini 14. Long story short, I needed some more docs before I could buy. SHE walks out with a Bushmaster HBAR from Windham. Grrrrrrr..... Requisite sock and rifle photo below. She is one happy lady. P.S. Those are my socks, at least.

      Which is the most solid build, do you think? I have read reviews on both, but am unsure which is the better value. Windham has more equipment attached, and a solid platform. DD V7 is (from reviews) an even better platform, but more stripped down. (Or do I just try for a RRA of similar config?)...
