Advice request - MD State Law & Mental Health

I don't really know anything about stuff like that. I also am not sure of how much it would cost, but am pretty confident I don't have the kind of money I would need.

Advice request - MD State Law & Mental Health

They won't give them back. Salisbury PD has been sitting on what was, at the time, my entire collection. They still have them, it has been years. Since the event (voluntary commitment under 72 hours, when a well intentioned but naive friend thought I was in a worse place than I was) I've...

MSP wait times for handgun approval

Just checked my voicemail, they called today, told me I can come pick up. So 2/14-4/19.

MSP wait times for handgun approval

Called Gander Mountain yesterday around 4:30, they told me "we got back the 13th today, yours will be soon" (mine is 2/14), so I just called now (about 1:00), was told "we got the 13th yesterday, yours will be soon". Oh I'm sorry, did MSP not fax you anything today? Its a weekday, its 1:00, I...

MSP wait times for handgun approval

50 days is fast, 55-65 is average, over 65 is longer than normal. I am still waiting on 2/14.

MSP wait times for handgun approval

The guy told me they got 2/13 back today. So I would guess another three or four weeks for you. Gander is slower than the other FFLs. I purchased 2/14 from them. They have also been making up ******** information to tell customers, so heads up.

MSP wait times for handgun approval

Purchased 2/14, called FFL today, told me they got 2/13 today and to expect mine "any day now".

Cool I bought the same day, I'm sure mine was on review since I have a case on the stet docket.

MSP wait times for handgun approval

I appreciate the sentiment, but I wouldn't want any special privileges over any of my other brothers and sisters in this state.

MSP wait times for handgun approval

Hit day 60 today. I am glad they're being so thorough with their investigation, wouldn't want that dangerous single action revolver in the hands of this honorabily discharged veteran of the state's own National Guard.

      MSP Backlog

Just pointing out, it has taken them a full week to complete ONE DAY of "on review" apps. (last week they claimed to be on the 11th) Obviously their standards for what needs review are totally ****ed, since apparently the vast majority of people who apply need review (or the troopers...

MSP wait times for handgun approval

Luckily I have an FFL who I like, with reasonable prices and good service. Unfortunately I found the gun I wanted in the case over at Gander Mountain at a decent price, and so I pulled the trigger. I've had probablems with Gander in the past but I figured I would give them another chance, lesson...

MSP wait times for handgun approval

One more week would be 6 weeks to long. Like I said, won't be able to shoot it for another couple of months anyhow. And screw the FFL, I have no doubt that they are part of the problem. Each time I call or go in they give me different/conflicting information, they don't care about the...

MSP wait times for handgun approval

Day 57 for me, to pick up a gun for which it will take me another 4 months to find ammo for. Does anybody know if there is a way to cancel the background check? What if I went into the store and told them "forget it" and wanted my money back?

So its just your FFL not calling you, according to MSP?

Damn, looks like those of us between 2/14-2/18 got skipped in this batch.

MD and MSP geting Heat from the FBI and ATF

No, you're probably right, but for those people who have a regular FFL, who they have bought from multiple times, once the FFL becomes aware and confident that release (after 7 days) is at his discretion, he will probably be willing to release to these guys who've bought multiple guns from him...
