      Was thinking about getting a couple mags for a Chinese. A few I've looked at say "some stock modification necessary" So, questions are: What exactly are they talking about Do all require a little filing to fit properly? Will the original still fit properly?

      Black Powder Cartridges?

      Okay, I know I've seen these somewhere on line, but now I can't find them anywhere. Just adopted an Iver Johnson Safety Hamerless (2nd model in 38 s&w), these were not built for the higher pressures of "modern smokeless powder rounds", and I don't reload. So......anybody know of anyplace...

      Garand Newbie!

      Well, in view of the election results (only made it happen faster), I just put a deposit on a '42 Springfield M-1. A little more than I wanted to spend for one, but at least it was a "hands on" deal. Been two hours and it's already driving me nuts - going to take me 3 weeks to pay it off!!!

      01 to 03 ffl transfer

      Well here's one for all the "I'm not a lawyer, google foo experts"......I've called ATF and NICS, and spoke to 5 different people, no one could give me an answer (what a suprise) - Does the transfer of a C&R firearm, between an 01 ffl and an 03 ffl (me) require a NICS call? As I read it, it does...

      M1 Question

      Basically, what do I want to look for/at in a Garrand. I recently came across an M1 for sale locally, but have never seen one with (what appears to be) a brass gas tube. It's a Springfield with an 8m(?)serial # and no other visible marks, at least that I could see. I've done some searching...
