I have an inexplainable desire to get into handgun hunting (just local white tail). That being said, I've got very little experience with large frame revolvers. I've got my eye on the 629 hunter stealth, but would really like to shoot one (or even handle one) before spending that kind of...
I’m considering buying a can, I’ll most likely start with Rimfire. Are there any stores near mount airy that actually carry them in stock? I’d like to take a look at a few in person before buying. I don’t know a ton about what’s available, and don’t know anyone that owns one, so I’m open to...
Anyone in the westminster, mount airy, woodbine, eldersburg area have a chamber lock for a .22 I can borrow for a day? Trying to save 25$. Ridiculous law.
After a gun is approved by the roster Board, how long before it hits the roster on the MSP website?
The last meeting was Sept 11, and it doesn't look like those guns have hit the list yet. 35 days and counting.
Just trying to pick up the gun I bought in May.......
I don't check in everyday, so I'm not sure if this is old news or has been posted before. If it has, please feel free to remove it.
This came across the CCW section of Reddit this morning.
Some folks set up cameras and then made this three part series documenting the mindset of those in...
Watching tv and learned that certain states allow hunters to use milk jugs or two-liters, spray painted black to fill in with their floating decoy spread to help make the spread more noticeable to the birds without the expense of buying more decoys.
Any idea if maryland is one of the states...
On a business trip in Grand Rapids Michigan I stopped at a LGS and ended up holding the new cz97b. (I say new because it has the aluminum grips which I hear are an update). It felt awesome and I'm interested in buying one. I'd prefer to shoot one first however. Does anyone know of a rental range...
I'm in the process of purchasing a ruger sp-101 in the 4" configuration. I'd like to find one used if that's possible. I have not see one used OR new in stock in any gun stores in MD. I don't want to buy online/out of state because of the added ~$100 of cost.
I am about to just call all the...
Finger printing is complete, trying to complete the process on the MSP website on the basis of a hunter safety course exemption. The instructions say " enter your hunter safety certification number," but I can't see where it is to be entered. Further, when reviewing the "education" page of the...
My better half is getting her first handgun, and we have been trying various revolvers. Sw k frame was ok, j-frame was too small. Ruger sp101 seemed to fit somewhere in the middle, and that is her current favorite. I can find security sixs used on gunbroker for significantly less than a sp-101...
I'm going to transfer a 1911 from a friend. He has done it at the barracks in the past, and suggested it again. Any one know of any advantages of doing it there or through an FFL? will either help with the 80 day wait?
Thanks.
Does anyone have any recommendation for a charging handle that is easy to access under a scope bell? i have handled a few ars where the rear bell sits right on the handle and blocks access to it somewhat. Does anyone make an extended version or anything?
This may be a dumb question, but does anyone know where i may be able to get my hands on a stripped upper? I don't know of a single website that has them in stock.
Has anyone used this extension? any thoughts? I'm worried if it is cheap, the extra grip leverage will just creat a breaking point.

I apologize if this is old news. I'm visiting family in Tennessee and stopped by Dicks to browse what little was left on the shelf. I was told that all Dick's new company policy, (and reportedly that of Wal-mart) is to no longer (after CT shooting) offer .223 ammo for sale. They had also...
