      Application progress banter thread

Is it just me, or does anyone else remember a time (several POTUSs ago) that 77R apps were backlogged well beyond the 10 day period due to application requests? I remember my LGS telling me that MSPLD was like 40 days backed up and they (LGS) weren’t willing to release without the MSP blessing...

Moving back to Maryland gun question

UPS accepted a package of "machined parts" to be shipped to the FN service center. I'd received instruction to not declare it as a handgun because they have to label the package with easily recognizable stickers - making it a target for "becoming lost" (aka stolen). Maybe it was okay since...

      You'll love this!!!

I have a BOA credit card that I frequently use at my favorite toy store. What's the chance they will be inclined to cease business with me for using it to buy such foul and disgusting things?

      AR-15 HBAR Changing Uppers Question

I'd have to agree with you on that one. If I had an HBAR lower and put a .50 Beowulf 16" barreled upper on it, it's STILL an HBAR. I'd put the original upper back on for transport from the range to home of course. I'd liken it to an SBR. If I take it to the range it has to be in it's...

      First AR Purchase Question

I don't disagree with anyone on anything in this topic, I was just pointing to the way it was written up. From experience, the shops in my red-neck of the woods are so afraid of stepping in a pile of poo-hockey that they treat almost everything as regulated anymore. It really sucks that I...

      First AR Purchase Question

Now there's a good source for those evil 30 round mags for your new toy when you get it. MD doesn't ban possession, just sale, offer for sale, etc...

      First AR Purchase Question

From my experience, only the Colt HBAR is listed as okay for insta-check. I believe that is the way it is actually written "Colt HBAR". The S&W M&P 15-22 is insta-check as well. I bought one of those in WV not long ago and walked out with it. Anything else in an AR platform is regulated...

      PS90 Awesomeness

Nice piece! Yes the 5.7 round is flat. Like very little to no holdover at 100 yds with the FiveseveN pistol. And yes, it is very tricky to reload. Definately not what I would recommend starting out with.

      My 1st AR15!!!

If it's protruding from lower into the pivot pin, below the head of the pin, on the side where the pin's head is flattened, it's most likey the detent pin (unless S&W redesigned that area). It rides in a grooove in the pin like the one does in the rear pin. The detent is spring loaded to...

      My 1st AR15!!!

Small spring holding onto the head? Hmmm. Got a pic of the right side of the receiver? I've never seen a pin held captive by a spring.

      My 1st AR15!!!

It's always rough at first. It will break in over time.
