All you have to do to figure out what you need is to pay attention to past storms, pandemics and general shortages. Once stuff happens, you have anywhere between a few hours to maybe 2 days to get what you need (or what's left). Past experience has shown that these items will be gone QUICK...
That's nuts. Here in Calvert, I just cut the yard waste up in small pieces and have a few backyard campfires. After a couple nights, the kids were happy from roasting marshmallows and hot dogs plus the yard waste is gone. win win.
Not only would I not admit to owning guns in some random survey, I won't even admit to owning guns HERE with you guys. Maybe I do and maybe they were lost in a tragic boating accident. Admit nothing and deny everything.
I used to hunt stocked pheasants in PA years ago. We would just walk along the field edges and (like you said) kick the cover. Sometimes they just wouldn't get airborne but just run along the ground. Try using a long stick to poke into the cover, especially in large briar patches.
You can marinate venison if you like but I treat them just like beef. Spray some cider vinegar on them and season them generously with Montreal Steak Seasoning. Then either put them in a very hot grill or a very hot cast iron skillet that has a little olive oil in it. 3 minutes per side or so...
I don’t care if a doctor asks me. My reply would be same. “Nope”, but the pediatrician will ask your kids and your wife too. I’ve had to explain to my kids that it’s nobody’s business if we own guns or not. I would not want them to go around telling everybody that their father owns guns. If...
My son is 13, 6' tall and 180lbs. I'm glad I didn't get him any youth model. He has been shooting all of my full size rifles and shotguns (including 12ga. 3" slugs) for 2 years now. Mind you, it took awhile for him to get used to the bigger recoils from the slugs, but he has been doing a good...
I know most of us own rifles in various configurations but if you are talking urban environment, don't over look 12 gauge. The guns and ammo are VERY plentiful and easier to use for those with minimal training or experience. If you are talking about open warfare among the public, I bet you...
I love my 30-30s. I have a Marlin and a Winchester. The Marlin was my first ever gun purchase. It's shot up MANY deer, tin cans and paper targets over the years. There's just something about that lever action......mmmmm:D
My family went there every year for vacation when I was a kid. (Through the 70's & 80's). It was always a good time. The fishing is good in the inlet and the beaches are guarded.
E. Shell,
Thanks for the info. and the lesson. I think you just put 1000 pages of instruction in a couple of paragraphs. I love reading condensed versions. My ADD kicks in after a couple of pages of any kind of reference info. Even something I'm interested in.
