Yes, the lowers, the uppers, BCG, magazines are totallu different between 5.56 and 7.62 (308 correct?). And due to their being less of the 7.62 stuff made, they are a lotmore expensive than stuff for the 5.56........
I just purchased two 80% lowers from CNC80.COM. They are provided anodized but with extra hardware. There are addtinal drilled and tapped holes under the lower and you are provided with two set screws that appear to be to do something with the trigger pin and also the take down pin. I am sure...
Not how sure to go about this, I too am new. But Surplus Arms and Ammo just put AR-15 Lowers for sale on their site, limit two per cusotmer for just $89.95...which is a great price these days.......

#8, fancy with the Desert Beige paint job
This is the eigth AR build out for me. Decided to get fancy and do a contracting Duracoat job on this one with the 'Desert Beige' colors.....
I have already built several AR's using the nylon reinforced lowers. I don't care for the LPK that is nylon, but take those out and put in the regular LPK's and ready to go.
I am interested in several of these nylon lowers myself. When and How?
