Taurus
Lots of good info given. But as with opinions, everyone has one, and they're usually different.
I have the Taurus pt-111, and like it. While the trigger feels different than my preferred carry weapon (sig 239), the gun is extremely accurate, compact, and very reliable. What I don't...
I heard about some proposed bill in the MD house that made exceptions for out of state ccw permit holders transporting firearms in MD, as long as they transport it in accordance with MD law, but as far as I know, it isn't law... The exception was the "purpose" of transporting of said firearms...
Are you crazy?
"I have a gun, but I'm transporting it legally. There's no need for you to be concerned."
Keep your mouth shut.

I've sent you a PM with a lawyer's name and phone number in Baltimore City, and very good. Although I do not know how he would rate on firearms related offenses.
You're right... perhaps the new crime fighting strategy will be to actually fight crime.
As a former MD resident, I say good luck. Hopefully you will win, and then I'll consider a move back to Maryland.
padlocks
I have a couple friends who can break open padlocks with an 18" pry bar... I've needed them to open my garage for me before- I keep it secured with a chain and padlock.
If they make it into the house unnoticed, they have free reign to figure out how to get into the cabinet using...
They have internet in NC? Who'da known? I thought it was just sand dunes and tobacco fields down there!
Seriously though, MDS and PAFOA are the best firearms forums around. Since I used to live in MD, and love PA, I'm in both. But I do like reading about what people are buying, selling, and...
Sounds like one of the parents needs to be as involved as the son wants to be. They should learn as well. Not to mention the fact that it will bring them closer-something in common.
It's two terms. I don't think he'll be weakened by it...as a matter of fact, I think it makes him stronger. He doesn't have a re-election to worry about. He can get things done because he's out after the 4 years. No worry about losing votes.
Worst gun I ever bought, some POS MagTech(who doesn't "make" firearms anymore) 22 cal semiauto rifle...damn trigger broke after about 70 rounds through it...
Bought that piece of junk at walmart when I turned 18 - I didn't know any better then. Couldn't take it out often due to the fact that no...
Easy. The media has an agenda that is in line with the statists...to completely disarm you, to force you to surrender your freedoms to the illusion of security "provided" to you by the state, and to make it dangerous for you to not need them. Any more than one gun is classified as a cache, or...
Interesting point. Jump on over to PAFOA.org and check them out. I'll be in PA until the MD gun laws change, but you will always have my support as I do remain somewhat active in MD.
Agreed. That is what I loved most about living in San Diego, CA...an hour east, and you're in the desert, surrounded by nothing, with plenty of space to shoot, and no one to care! Damn, I miss it.
I'm ready to go camping, have the camper all ready to go. Just let me know when.
I keep my trigger finger on the frame, placed over the take down lever(opposing side-circle part just above the serial number), until I am ready to shoot. Same with all handguns I handle.
Couldn't agree more
The p226 in .40 cal is my favorite. I do have a p239, and love that too. When I get my carry permit(I'm in PA) that'll be the one I carry all the time-well, until I get to the MD border. :)
The standard mag in the 239 holds only 8 rounds, but you can get the extended...
