For those who've read Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged" I ask, what would John Galt do? For those who haven't read it, you need to. I cant summarize an entire novel in a post but the book provides a lesson in dealing with socialist tyranny of the majority. The lesson, at some point you need to be...
Generally I dont have an issue going from Glock to Glock, I have 3 also. But I've also put a lot of rounds through those 3, 2 I use for USPSA competitions. I do notice certain handguns (SIG) need a firmer grip for me to shoot consistently accurate, than do glocks and 1911s.
My guess is it...
This is how I'm trying to accomplish the same thing on my AR15. I'm still working on the build but I used a Warne RAMP mount with the offset for a mini red dot. That's a Vortex Viper PST 4-16x. I dont have the mini red dot yet but you can see the mounting location.
Why rule out competitions? It adds the elements of holster draw, speed, movement, use of cover, unique shooting positions, and even a bit of pressure. Revolver has it's own division so you're competing against others using similar equipment.
I think the a 1911 is worth a try. I've been going down this same road with my wife. She started small with Kahr P9 but the recoil was a bit much and she had problems working the slide due to spring weight. She then went to a S&W revolver and that worked well but you have the issue of the DA/SA...
My Mother in law lives in Dover so I've stopped in Shooters Choice several times while visiting. It's a nice shop with a good selection. The first time my wife and I stopped the folks working the counter there were friendly and eager help, they even gladly spent time showing her 3 or 4 different...
WOW - so I posted the link to Inline Fabrication a couple weeks back and this is what it devolved into. Flipz, great review sounds like you're pleased with the product, as I am with the roller handle I purchased.
SOMDSHOOT - While I appreciate what you're saying I think your comments about...
If you're talking USPSA open class I've never seen a suppressor, but a compensator is standard in that class. The comp would also require a threaded barrel.
I got mine from Midsouth Shooters Supply. They are $384.99 right now but I'm not sure about the shipping.

Here's another site with some optional LNL accessories. I have the Ergo handle on mine and it's a big step up over the original ball, particularly if you plan on long reloading sessions.

I know Hornady recommends cleaning their dies with some dry lube (their brand of course), but I used it on mine when new, and I clean them about once per year and haven't had any rust issues.
For an LNL pistol setup I recommend you go here http://www.powderfunnels.com and purchase the Powder through Expander (PTX). This will effectively add an extra station to the press because you'll be flaring and dropping powder at stage 2. Then buy a powder cop die (or other variety of powder...
