quest for a DIY 'Shoot-n-c' type target
I like the idea of the plates and black paint!! Cheap, quick, easy, and easy to pack in. I'd like to try it with styrofoam plates and see if that would leave a more visible splatter. Great ideas!!- 4d_POWER

.22lr Suppressor decisions, decisions
Dooga, I was going to add the decibel rating but it seemed each company tested differently, with a different gun and different test equipment. .22lr Suppressor decisions, decisions
Trying to determine which suppressor to get is harder than buying a gun!! LOL! I spent some time trying to consolidate options for a .22lr handgun suppressor. I think Stainless is the way to go. But the tradeoff is at least double the weight. All the suppressors I listed can be brokedown...- 4d_POWER

What's your first Firearm of 2012?

My Remington 597
Put vq hammer and extractor in mine, and polished guide rods. No more fte or stovepipes. I run whatever ammo happens to be the cheapest thru it no problem. Only have occasional trouble with ftf using 30 round mags. Fun plinker!! -

Who has a Rem 597?
I recently bought the 597 with the grey stock and scope. Replaced the hammer and extractor with vq parts. Shot a box of 325 Federal Auto Match through it, had maybe 5 jams. no fte's. The jams came using the 30 round mag. I really enjoy this gun, fun to shoot. Really consistent at 50 yards...
