I did a quick search and came up with nothing. Googled didn't come up with a lot of Reviews either

Looks like Colt is getting into the entry level market with their new Expanse Carbine. The lower is all Colt but the upper is missing the CL barrel, forward assist and EP cover....retail @ $699

I don't see the desired 4 letters that MDers look for does anyone have one?? Looks like a good deal if you can find one in the Mid $600s

They debuted these at the SHOT show. I don't think they are available yet.

It's nice to see Colt offer an entry level carbine.

They need to do another SP-1, and offer other Retro ARs. Pencil barrels, XM177 type stuff. XM16E1 would be cool. Relying on their already small offerings is what got them in trouble before. I think this is a smart move. They need to bring back the SAA as a non custom shop offering. I'd snag one!

I'm already too far into my XM177E2 build to think of such stuff.
But I'd be pimping my wife out to buy them.:innocent0
    Hope she don't read this.:o

Colt is smart for doing this. Hopefully they make a HBAR variant if this one is not.

Troy has a GAU5 retro rifle thats a out to ship for those that want an older AR Carbine.

If they marketed them as HBAR they'd be good, the barrel tapers under the HB but mics to .750".

We just got two in this afternoon, likely end up selling the lowers and uppers separately.

OMG, don't tell me that, I've got another pre Oct '13 lower that needs some loving. If you do separate them could you give me a price on the upper and would you ship?

I came to the same conclusion. Wish they would put HBAR/heavy barrel in the specs.
