Just trying to gain some insight. What are the plans?

Simple, shut down the Senate office building on March 9th.

Shut down the House Office building on March 15th.

Make them stay and listen to all of us.

google is your friend, I am not.
I cannot be there. Maybe AGC can put up an email tool like in 2013. Make sure you are registered to vote!

Gun controllers got slapped in VA so now they are hungry for a victory to show they are working for the donors. Plus, its an election year (go Shrillary!!) lets help Hillary get elected by passing feel good legislation!!! It feels so good when we touch ourselves!!

    Just like O'Taxy!!

I wouldn't be surprised if this newest push is something of a response to the 4th's decision in Kolbe.

Can I suggest we, as a group, look into other bills that the legislators are pushing and try to attend those too. They could give 2 sh*ts about us anymore. I have been pushing people to get involved in other areas. I know it is not MSI's job to monitor other areas of legislation, but we need to hit them where they butter their bread. I apologize for derailing your thread. We can no longer afford to be a single issue group. I have gotten involved with animal issues and not motorcycle legislation. We need to diversify, in addition to what you are trying to do.

I've always encouraged for everyone to contact them on other issues as well.

The 'one trick pony' appearance may have hurt is a little in 2013, and may even have a bearing on this.

It's also why I don't like the concept of single-issue voting.

The problem is, though, that 99+% of Marylanders don't pay attention to the legislation being proposed, and only complain after the fact.

I'm working a new job with limited time off. I had to pass on 2A Tuesday.

I'll be there at least one day to testify. Definitely.

And this is where we pick up the slack, based on todays press conference, they believe that this is 2013 2.0

We need to meet them head on again, and change their minds again.

Here's another story on it ...

Md. Democrats pushing to strengthen state’s already strict gun laws

So beyond a federal NICS check, is he proposing a 77R requirement (with the attendant one week wait) for all firearm purchases, including shotguns and rifles? Or only* trying to block private sales in between individuals?

*and I'm not trying to minimize - I think that this would be egregious as well - just distinguishing from the 77R statement.

It became clear last time around that Raskin is an idiot. He knows that a NICS check is required by anyone who buys a rifle/shotgun from an FFL. He'll never let the truth get in the way of his lawless drivel.

I am pissed. Their useless legislation has done nothing to protect me, my family and the state. While we don't have full details of the incident in Abingdon, it just reinforces that no one is safe anywhere, yet the imbecile legislators keep pushing meaningless laws that they have no proof of the effectiveness of the laws and they refuse to pass legislation to keep criminals off the streets.

As we have witnessed today, we do not know how long any of us has. We have NO time to wait for the politically correct time to press the issue of criminal justice or self preservation and self protection. I have been one to promote patience and a "long game" approach, but no more. We need results and we need them now. If a thug's family can be awarded a $6.4 million settlement, before trials have even been decided, then we can get a small bone and be allowed to feel safe by being able to protect ourselves and by knowing that criminals will not be free to roam the streets.

You've got that right Tim. We have to walk around unarmed, exposing ourselves & loved ones to the criminal element that doesn't obey or care about laws.

Our GA is the laughing stock of at least the eastern half of the US. How many more examples do these mental midgets need before seeing the necessity for CCW in the state? Are they trying to start a revolution?
