I was thinking of getting a compensator because it would help getting to the >29" length needed to SBR.

It would have to be permanently fixed to the barrel. Someone makes one with forward facing holes which is slightly quieter.

I was at 2A today and they think it will make 29" with the Hera folding adapter, a 7 position buffer tube and one of the longer model butt stocks.

I am picking my scorpion from 2A tomorrow. I spoke with the guys there and was given the same info as to how to achieve >29". I was thinking if I went with a 'pinned' comp then I may be able to use several different style stocks and still achieve the >29".

I can't wait for somebody to figure out how SBR one of these without pinning something to the barrel so that we can put a can on it and not permanently attached!

I believe ( but could be wrong ) that the Hera doesn't lock open if the stock is folded. If it would I would be buying a few. But having a stock flop around is a nuisance.

It doesn't lock open however when folded it's under spring tension that pulls it towards the body and doesn't flap around. You don't want it to lock open otherwise you can't quickly deploy it especially if it's used with a sling.

I'm hoping to be able to attach a magnet to the shockwave blade and have it stay against the body of the scorpion.

A magnet if attached on both being the EVO 3 is mostly plastic could work. Id like to see it have a better detent. The videos I have seen show it not having enough tension to help hold it in place . and keep seeing the guys having to push it towards the gun or lock it back. In my opinion there is room for improvement. but to each there own.

As I said before there is no flopping. When the Hera SFU is in the folded position there is enough tension that if you move it slightly out of the way and let go it snaps back with force. It holds in place nicely against the body, no need for a magnet.

I never made it much past space invaders as a computer gamer. There are a bunch of apocalyptic games I never heard of and would surely give me motion sickness if I tried to play. Those of you who are fans of Fallout might love this.

Lord no, you have to be Generation X to appreciate that, if it were mine it might have 1928 Thompson grip and VFG

I used the Hera SFU, 6 position buffer tube, and the MFT stock

Let me know if you need the Hera SFU. I have a brand new one I can sell you
