At the risk of having my membership in the Man Club revoked, I don't have the time (or skill, really) to deer hunt. I remember growing up that everyone had overflowing freezers full of venison. Seems like the combination of the economy tanking + people liking to hunt, would position somebody to profit from undercutting grocery store prices.

Sort of Illegal to sell game, unless the deer was raised on a farm.

A hunter can always share, and you could show your appreciation, civility is still legal;)

I usually get 3 or 4 a year, and give alot to friends and so on. As mentioned, it's not legal to sell it, but I've been thinking, "if a surprise box of ammo was to appear on my porch, I might leave a box of bambi in it's place"

How about Bison. I've gotten some ground pounds from GunPowder Bison Trading Co. and I love it!. Check out the nutrition facts. They have steaks, hotdogs, chili, shoes, everything.
They are in Monkton and I've even seen the steaks in the grocery stores around town.

Farm raised.....it is a MD law that even wild game from out of state cannot be imported for sale. It all has to be farm raised IIRC what I read.

my goal is to kill as many deer as I can and eat/dry/stockpile/donate all of it. I know a bunch of single mom's who could really benefit from a gift of 20lbs of protien.

Why is selling venison illegal in Maryland? Is it due to a real health concern or something else, which is totally justified?

Or is it against the law simply because the Maryland legislature knows what's right for us.... (sarcasm intended).

    Kindest regards,
