Obama makes campaign trail appearance for Anthony Brown, few show up, the few who did left early. They probably signed in or collected their show-up pay, then went home. http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/10/19/us-usa-politics-obama-idUSKCN0I80V320141019

I was there today (outside before the event started). The place was packed. People stood in long lines to get in for hours. Parking was a huge problem. One way in/out of the place. There were a lot of buses dropping people off, maybe they had set a return time... Judging by the crowd there, they seemed like hardcore, dedicated Dems. Maybe people that drove knew it was gonna be a long wait in traffic to get out, inadvertently recognized the law of diminishing returns and wanted to get home for Sunday dinner after hearing the same tired speech droning on.

Then again, maybe we got them thinking about the crowd stuffed in there with Ebola on the loose...

Now now, don't make the STUPID asswipes here feel bad. :asshat:

After the results of the last 6 years, they should feel bad for approving of any idiot that the Muslim-in-Chief would endorse.

Problem is, they have the numbers to impose their will on the rest of us.:mad54:

Well they must be a tiny bit concerned about the gubernatorial election, otherwise they wouldn't have called in the POTUS. Good news from my perspective.

Hopefully now, since the start of the Ebola scare, he'll serve as the proverbial albatross around Brown's neck.

What's really sad, is we're one of the few states that will actually allow him to show his face next to a Dem candidate.

When you can't even admit you voted for the guy, for fear of loosing votes, you're in a pickle.

Yeah, but bringing him in to PG county is like singing to the choir.

Maybe it was an ego boost attempt for the two pols.

Yep. I read Brown is ahead by over 11pts too. He's far enough ahead that he "allowed" Pres. Ebola to make an appearance with him.

Don't believe the polls. Get out and cast your vote. The MSM would love to use fluffed up poll numbers to keep us discouraged and sitting at home on Nov. 4

I've never understood poll numbers having an influence on a person voting or not.

Get out there and cast your vote and let the numbers fall where they may.

IMO if polls and election day robo calls can determine whether or you will take the time to vote, you don't deserve to vote.
I agree, unfortunately in a reliable blue state like MD it is likely our side that gets discouraged more often than not. I will vote no matter what but I fear many may not if polls show a wide lead by a D.

They could also be counting percentage wise the amount of people who went DINO in computing their numbers and IND they think won't vote or who will not vote for Hogan. Love to see the astonished look on their faces when they find out too late they were wrong.

There will be a big push by the Ds in the last 2 weeks, to try and blow up any threat to the status quo.

I don't have details to share right now (some of it is a little confusing), but it becomes critically important for all of us to step up and support the local candidates we believe in, and spread the positivity for Hogan.

"We" are making a difference, they know it, and they're scared. Money and effort is being pumped into areas previously known as D strongholds.

This is do-able, but we need to reach beyond our contacts here, and get into the communities.
