I was in my early 30s when I purchased my first hand gun at Baltimore Gunsmith down on south Broadway.

He tried to get me to hook up his printer and asked a person I know to paint his shop for free. :lol2:

Yep. He was a huge idiot. Sold me a Colt HBAR with a sere block in it back in 2008. Thats not the problem. The problem was when he had the 2 ARs on the counter disassembled he put a full auto bolt in it and my bolt in the non sear block HBAR. Sear block and auto bolt no worky. Being a kid I didnt know better and got home to be like WTF?!

I went in two or three times, and saw something cool, only to hear "can't sell it - it's not logged yet". He never replied to my emails, either. Hard to miss somebody that I didn't get to deal with.

I only live a mile or so away....always wanted to stop in but he never seemed to be open. Surprised his closing wasn't previously mentioned. His store has been closed for at least a month and the building he was in, which is shared with another business has been for sale for 5-6 weeks now. It's not a bad location but not much parking....I'm pretty sure it was once someone's private residence.

I noticed while driving by the other night that the lights were on and the walls empty. Then earlier this week a for sale sign went up in front of the lot. I can only assume that means he is done. It was a quirky little shop, but I liked it well enough.

That's both of the shops convenient to me: Just Guns AND Christian Soldier

We live in some very sad times here in MD. By the time the lawsuits work their way through the system, there will be half the shops there were before.

Come on Gun Shop, you're all I have left, hang in there!

Wow, I'm a fellow Parkvillian. I've been there for 20 years and have seen Valley, Just Guns, Walter's, and now CS go by the wayside.

Valley and Walters did it to themselves, but CS and Just Guns seem a result of SB281. Fu*king Maryland.:sad20:

I'd gladly trade both of those for Walter's back.

    Amen

Damn straight. I bought my first gun at Walter's.

Gone are the days of the Harford Rd gun shops...

Sad. I remember the glory days of Harford rd well. Bought stuff from all those shops except Just guns. But my first came from Donohues in Towson.

I would like to hear the story about Walters. Never new they got in doo doo with the ATF. I friend of mine from high school worked there for a couple years.
