GLOCKs are better because you can buy two very good GLOCKs for the price of one very good 1911. And hopefully you're not a slow learner. (Keep your pistol off the ground and out of the driveway. Responsible gun owners don't leave their pistols laying around.). :-P

Worked on too many 1911's. They suck.

    Even Colts?

I certainly didn't appreciate the damn front sight coming off my Auto-Ordinance, but there must be somethin' good about the damn to explain it's popularity.

One thing the G21 or G30 has over any 1911 is certainly mag capacity.

That GLOCK also looks like an early Gen1 or Gen2 model. I also suspect it was already disassembled when someone decided to desecrate the frame.

1911s are better because you can run them over with a truck.

    Enjoy!

Maybe this jerk should have bought a GLOCK and used the money he saved for some dental work! Also, maybe go back to school to learn the difference between Austria and Australia.

Seriously, throwing guns in a fire and running over them is not what I do with my guns.

Whats wrong with weight. If you run out of bullets with a 1911 you can beat them to death and still have a very functional hammer.

haha it reminds me of the line in the movie snatch

(russian accent) "weight is a sign of reliability, and if it doesn't work you can always hit him with it"

It's a testament to the 1911's design that it is still relevant after 100+ years, but times have changed, most of the technology that makes a GLOCK what it is were not dreamed of in 1911. Where the 1911 needs a lot of fitting, a GLOCK doesn't, a 1911 needs complex and extensive machining, a GLOCK is much simpler. That isn't even considering the superior capacity, lighter weight, versatility of design, superior feed angle, superior extraction, thinner, slimmer, and shorter frame, higher grip, and simpler fire control.

I can take either one and land shots where they count. Who really cares?
A 1911 will never have the simplicity of a Glock nor will a Glock ever have the beautiful and crisp trigger of a 1911.
