I was pretty surprised when I saw:

    http://www.city-data.com/top2/co8.html

and saw the good folks of Frederick County at #58 with 33.3% households armed,

but I was blown away when I get to #93 and saw AA county on the list. Sure, we only have a meager 25%, but with that many voters, I thought the average citizen attitude would be different.

    2 take aways:

1- where are they getting the data?

    2- I'm honestly disappointed in #94 - 2000

Not surprised at AA Co at all...

The problem comes in where we have 2 districts in the county that have problems.

D32 has been the #1 thorn in the side, with 4 reps who are either hard left, or left-leaning squishes... And now there is 31A, created solely to attempt to further divide a conservative working-class community.

The rest of the county is generally good.

I'm stunned that nowhere in VA made the list.

i guess i live a somewhat different life then most. i truly only know 1 person who doesnt own a gun, my own ultra liberal govenment loving bitch of a sister. i would assume some of the people i am around may not have guns but i dont interact with them so i wouldnt know one way or the other. i assumed the numbers would be in the 90% range all over.

i guess you learn something everyday.

Yeah, it's no doubt all those upwardly entitled folks whose money and influence buy access and priviledge. The average Joe or Jane citizen gets the finger while Buffy and Tad get the nod. F Buffy and Tad.:D:D:D I'm talking permits NOT simple ownership...which ain't so simple.

Welcome to Merryland...the NOT SO FREE STATE. The livin is good if you're not stuck in the uncomfortable ( and oh so very expensive) middle...class and geography.

I'd like to see how they got their data. Is it a polling, or from gun registrations? If polling, how many of us would answer truthfully to a stranger? If gun registration, than that is proof the gov. keeps tabs on gun owners. Or am I just being:tinfoil:

The real numbers are no doubt higher. There's always a portion of people who don't answer gun related questions.

I agree, I would like to know exactly how they came up with their poll results. Some of the counties seem strange to have been higher in the poll.

    I question the data collection.

I know plenty of people in Carbon County, WY and it's not on the list. Guns are as common as Bic lighters there.
I know lots of people in Maricopa County, AZ, and have spent lots of time there, you can hold your breath between OC sightings while riding around and it only gets 29.7%?

Way to go Frederick County! I guess the influx of commuting libtards has not completely changed us yet.

Also see lower Delaware showing well with Sussex and Kent at 54 and 55 with 33.7% each.

Which seems to hint that they either did a survey (and people didn't answer), or they looked at secondary stats like "gun sales" or something. People that haven't purchased firearms in a while or carry firearms passed down to them wouldn't register.
