    They were pretty obnoxious.

I'll get the clays next time.

I fixed the flare gun. Nothing a big hammer and a mini anvil cant resolve.

I just popped off a flare in the backyard to test it. Horizontal launch.

Hmmm.....I had a horrible range day too. I came home so sad that my safe is such a lonely place. Now I realize that a few more things are needed to make my other guns happy. Got my EOTech sighted in, and got my M1A sighted in. Hitting 200 yards, almost as well as Chad's micro AR.

You were hitting the steel with you 5" suppressed AR too. I saw some hits in the spotter.

The Duffys M1A was the showstopper though. Mine are just chopped and silenced wieners.

My day at Elk Neck on Friday wasn't the best trip. It was crowded (although I got there early) and several people were blatantly disregarding the range rules (there was no RSO and I'm no rule-Nazi but people coming down the bank with uncased shotguns and holstered pistols is a bit unnerving given some of the history of unsafe shooting at Elk Neck). In general I felt unsafe and ended up leaving

Happens to me almost every time I go there now. Last time there were several people with holstered sidearms walking around. Many unsafe actions and people keep showing up every 15 minutes and the range has to go cold. It got so irritating last time that I left at 9:30 after being there since 8:15 waiting. Why can't people just show up by 9:00 and not at 9:10?

I had an awesome 5 hours with a small group shooting on private property today. I've just given up on public ranges. I may not get to shoot as often or as far as I would like, but at least I can relax.

The DELMARVA Range Guys were hamin' it up with us and a younger one comes over and tells us about this guy who shows up wanting to shoot not long ago.

The guy asks what can he shoot and they say "Nothing with Tannerite or Glass", he says ok and brings out an AR and a GIANT rubber "thing" and rapid fires the "thing" into small rubber chunks. He says he caught his wife with it and got so mad he took it and wanted to destroy it.

chad can you do a write up on the problems my builder does not understand what im saying

The guns overgassed. The Gas Port is too big for the muzzle device that is one it. In order to remedy the problem he is going to have to remove the 90 Degree Gas Block and put a restrictor bushing in it to limit the gas. Either that or a new barrel. There is no way he didn't notice the gassing when it was test fired.

Be sure to mic the head of the piston before sending it. I have seen some builders grind the piston head diameter down to cause the piston to leak more which reduces the pressure and bolt speed. Its a BAD fix though.

If he acts confused then well have to discuss options and see what we can do if he does not help.
