The AR-15 I didn't know I wanted until SB281 happened

Finally got around to setting up the Bushmaster AR-15 H-BAR that I bough from Lou (Shooters Discount). Primary Arms had a deal in that if you bought a EoTech 516.A65 Red Dot sight they included a 3X magnifier for free. I wanted the option of being able to easily use either the EoTech alone or with the 3X so I paid about $85 more for the Burris Pivot Mount that was also an option with the set up. As you can see from the photos all did not work out as planed. I slid the original pop up sight to the last slot to the rear and the EoTech to the last slot towards the front. Unfortunately when I added the Burris Pivot mount between them the 3X magnifier would hit the back of the EoTech. I was finally able to get it all to work by mounting the Flip Mount backwards and removing a screw-on protective ring on the front of the magnifier. That removed ring did not seem to be important and the shorter length allowed the 3X to swing up in back of the EoTech. I did a preliminary sight in with a bore sigh laser and plan to take it to Freestate range soon to see how it all works.

My sweet "Caroline" is a Adcor upper & lower. The upper is a 16" gas piston free floating FN 1/7 twist barrel with a YHM flash suppressor. Magpul pop up front & rear sights that co witness with the EoTech HHS II optic system. Magpul angled foregrip. Magpul MS3 20rd mags & MS3 ranger plates. Magpul ASAP sling mount.
BCM gunfighter charging handle.

On the lower I dropped in a Giessele SSA trigger. Hogue rubber grip. Magpul CTR stock. Magpul BADASS lever.
