Not really. That thread hasn't been updated since July. I have been in contact with MSP and Springfield Armoury a number of times since August. Here are the two possibilities:
1) Those 5.25s were registered as an XDm and not an XDm 5.25. If they were and MSP or ATF ever figure out that they were registered wrong, the store stands to lose their FFL.
2) There was an initial period where there was a lot of confusion about whether or not an XDm and an XDm 5.25 were the same or different. It's possible that MSP allowed the registration for an XDm 5.25 to go through initially, but then closed the loophole waiting for the results of the board.
I am just telling you what I have experienced and what I have been told. It is possible that MSP will allow the registration of an XDm 5.25 before November 21st. I believe the worst they can do is say no. If they do, you will lose the money you paid to the FFL and to the state for the transfer. You may also find your self in a pickle with the FFL holder since they will have your gun and will be unable to transfer it to you until the gun is added to the roster. I believe you would be able to re-apply on November 21st or so when the gun is officially added to the roster.
