This all started with some do-gooder neighbor who called 911 to report a "kid with a gun" - even though she knew it wasn't a real firearm. And her own son was playing Airsoft with the alleged "perp". Could there be some bad blood between the neighbors in this case? Who knows.

In any event, schools usually come up with these stupid zero tolerance policies as an attempt to cover their butts from lawsuits threatened by parents who expect them to babysit rather than teach. Just my 2 cents worth.

The wife and I were walking around the neighborhood on Sunday. We passed 3 kids playing in a yard. 1 of them had a toy bow and arrow and the other 2 had toy guns. It surprised me to see them...and that made me sad. You just don't see that kind of stuff anymore. Kind of like balls on a dog.
