If you are looking to get a Mauser, they are probably a good way to get started. Most all of the Yugo 24/47s I have seen at shows lately have been Samco imported so if you want one why not get it from the source? They take longer than some to process your order but you will get it. If you buy one it will be soaked in cosmoline from long term storage.

I have two 24/47's. They're a good entry into mausers. Fun shooters but not near as cheap as they once were (duh). Just be forewarned, one mauser leads to many mausers. :innocent0

wrong Yugo. The bent bolt version is the M-48. It is a good rifle (M-48) although like a lot of Yugo weapons, is not interchangeable with other 98 Mausers. I believe the 24/47 however, is interchangeable with other 8mm Mausers.

no the m48 series and 24/47's have a different action length. You might be thinking of the Czech vz 24

I got one from SAMCO a couple months ago, 'Special Select'. I was not impressed, rust & pitting and a stock that was pretty beat to Hell. For $229, I thought I was getting a deal. I think I got what I paid for...
