    MDSP, if they are here, doesn't draw attention to themselves with obviously bogus posts designed to get to the classifieds or WC.

    They are smarter than that.

    No, but they do pay attention when people (mostly newbies) post ridiculous legal questions and our membership answers them in ways that conflict with the law...

    It's not a bot. It's just someone who isn't interested in contributing to the community, just either spying or wanting to sell something.

    Just dropped off my application. Third time's a charm, I suppose.
    Was there anyone else applying while you were there?

    I got the nice lady to smile! How about you? They seemed rather pleasant to deal with to me.

    Like many LEO's, I don't think they care about carry one way or the other.. If they do they keep it professional.

    It's their political bosses who don't want to comply with the Constitution.

    Too f'in bad. Thank you President Trump.

    With regards to this case it was my understanding that DC had 90 days to submit to the supreme court. With today being the 25th we are either almost there or are there, does anyone know if this was done or are they accepting the decision now?

    Ok, I'm still concerned by mixed guidance being given by DC about carry in restaurants that serve alcohol.

    I know that the law's details have been posted here before apparently showing it was OK to carry in a restaurant as long as you where not drinking, but the posted FAQ bluntly states "On premises where alcohol is served".

    This could lead to problems with the public and police not knowing the law and needlessly harassing people.

    From the FAQ:

    Q: Can those who do hold a concealed-carry permit in the District carry them anywhere in the
    city, at any time?
    A: No. Similar to the time, place, and manner restrictions on the exercise of First Amendment
    rights, there are certain limitations on the times and places where a permit holder may carry a
    concealed handgun in the District. Permit holders cannot carry their handguns:
    • While they are consuming alcohol or are otherwise impaired;
    • In a District government building;
    • On the grounds of childcare facility, public or private school or university;
    • At a hospital or medical/mental health office;
    • At a penal institute, secure juvenile facility, or halfway house;
    • At a polling place while voting is occurring;
    • On public transportation, including in Metro stations;
    • On premises where alcohol is served;
    • At a stadium or arena;
    • At a gathering or special event open to the public;

    A FAQ probably written by someone else in the AG office is neither an AG opinion or the law.

    The original Act said on premises was prohibited, but was changed. It seems like some of these folks don't know what their own statute says

    I will have zero issues carrying in a legally allowed location.

    DC Code
    § 7-2509.07.

    Prohibited:
